Adopted from a war torn nation, Luce has grown to be an all-star student in high school. That image is challenged by one of his teachers in this provocative issue-driven thriller. Naomi Watts and Tim Roth star as the parents, with Octavia Spencer as the teacher. Rated R.

The Peanut Butter Falcon
A young adult man with Down Syndrome runs away from his care facility to pursue his dream of enrolling in a school for professional wrestling. The film co-stars Shia LaBeouf, Dakota Johnson, and Thomas Haden Church. Rated PG-13.

After the Wedding
The manager of an orphanage in West Bengal, India travels to New York where she meets a benefactor, and hidden family secrets emerge. Based on the Danish film, it stars Michelle Williams, Julianne Moore, and Billy Crudup. Rated PG-13.

Ken Burns “Country Music” Event
Circle Cinema presents a preview of “Country Music,” the latest documentary series from Ken Burns, before the full 8-part, 16-hour series premieres on PBS September 15.
