The Juniper Tree (1990)
Two sisters struggle to build a new life after their mother is burned by a witch, in a stark black-and-white retelling of stories from Grimm’s Fairytales. Resilience

The Hitch-Hiker: Renegade Women in Film Event
In celebration of Women’s History Month, author and film critic Elizabeth Weitzman introduces a special restoration of 1953’s “The Hitch-Hiker,” the first film noir directed by a woman, Ida Lupino.
